Multi Agency Exercise 5.10.22

3rd October 2022

As a member company/organisation of the MICC, we are sharing the following information on their behalf:

Multi-agency Exercise 5th October 2022

A multi-agency exercise will take place within the Port of Grangemouth at 7pm on Wednesday 5th October 2022. Grangemouth Major Incident Control Committee (MICC), Falkirk Council and the Emergency Services will be exercising their emergency plans.

During this exercise, people in the local area may see increased activity by the emergency services. Grangemouth residents and visitors will not be required to take any action during this time

During this exercise the Community Warning System will not be operated.

In the unlikely event of an incident taking place during the exercise period that requires the activation of the Community Warning System a transmission will clearly indicate such an event and the public should “Go in, Stay in and Tune in”.

MICC chairman, Derek Brown said: “As part of our commitment to public safety a multi-agency exercise involving the emergency services and Falkirk Council will take place to test our response to emergency plans.  Exercising with our partner agencies plays an important part in ensuring we are fully equipped to respond in the unlikely event of an emergency situation. ”
