This exciting new venture will provide a secure, long term heat and electricity supply, for both CalaChem and our tenants across the site and Earls Gate Park and, in addition to this, is proving to be an additional incentive for new companies to locate at Earl’s Gate Park.
Using one of the cleanest and most stringently controlled combustion methods available, this new modern plant will see the current burning of fossil fuels replaced with Scottish Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF). Classified as a renewable fuel by the Scottish Government and the European Union, RDF is processed commercial and household waste after the recyclables have been removed.
